ROTHBURY 2009 confirmed - From the Oceana's Herald Journal
Last year's break-out festival hit will return to the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury July 2-3-4-5. Artist line-up announcement and ticket on-sale information will be coming soon, according to Madison House, festival organizer.
Madison House said no two ROTHBURY festivals will be the same and 2009 attendees can look forward to even more over-the-top entertainment experiences and broadened VIP offerings unmatched by any other US festival.
ROTHBURY will build on last year’s topic of Climate Change and Clean Energy Solutions. There will be expanded Think Tank activities and even more cutting-edge festival implementation of ever-changing technologies in the quest for energy independence.
As ROTHBURY Producer Jeremy Stein explains, “ROTHBURY is proud to host a community of conscious and involved fans who strive for a better future. We’re also extremely grateful for the support of our local neighbors and the greater Michigan community. Together - we’re raising the bar.”
Even with last year’s successful ROTHBURY event, Double JJ Resort owners Joan and Bob Lipsitz filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy shortly after the festival. A lease agreement for the festival grounds was approved by the US Bankruptcy Court in Grand Rapids in early January. The Double JJ and related companies remain in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
